This is my second visit, and I truly enjoyed discovering the rich history behind the cuisine. The beautiful lantern décor made me feel like I was stepping back into the 3rd–6th century, bringing the ancient flavors of Nanjing to life. Nanjing Signature Duck (served cold): I’m very picky about duck, but this one was tender, smooth, aromatic, and perfectly seasoned — with no gamey smell at all. Taking over 200 hours to prepare, it’s no wonder this dish became famous during the Ming dynasty and remains a symbol of Nanjing’s 1,000-year culinary legacy. Fried Quail with Crispy Celery and Quail Eggs: A golden, crispy base shaped like a nest holds a quail egg, topped with perfectly fried quail. The celery fritter adds great texture. I love how the nest, egg, quail, and celery come together — the flavors are simply perfect. Such a creative and beautifully presented dish! Duo-Color Fermented Chestnut Pearl: Beautifully made, with gentle sweetness from the chestnut and sweet fermented rice. Its soft, delicate texture makes it so enjoyable — definitely my favorite dessert! Smoked Duck Spring Roll: This time, the roll had only a small amount of duck meat, so the duck flavor was less pronounced. However, it still tasted good, with nicely balanced seasoning and a crisp texture. During my previous visit, the portion of meat was larger and the duck flavor stood out more from the first bite. Three Delicacies Bun: Soft, juicy, and filled with tasty pork and shrimp. Golden Harvest Medley: Soft, perfectly cooked veggies with that lovely chestnut crunch. Jade Shaomai: Shaped like a little flower with its green jade color on top — light, pretty, and similar to a delicate dumpling. Pork Kidney with Chive: Tender and flavorful, with a nice kick from the chives and a salty sauce that ties everything together. Braised Pork Liver: Rich and savory — perfect for anyone who loves liver! My friends, who are true liver lovers, really enjoyed it! I also enjoyed fragrant tea, which was refilled throughout the meal — a perfect companion that cleansed my palate and enhanced each dish’s flavors.

Finally tried them and ngl, stepping in really felt like teleporting to old-school Nanjing ???????? Think vintage lanterns, rustic wood decor, period music, and staff in traditional outfits — total vibes. Here’s what we had (and loved): **Jinling Roast Duck** — juicy, tender meat with that golden crisp skin The sauce alone was so good it could go with plain rice. A must-order. **Huadiao Wine Drunken Crayfish** — rare to see non-mala crayfish, and this wine-marinated version was worth the mess. Sweet, bouncy meat with rich prawn head flavour for those who love it. **Celestial Roast Duck Dumpling** — savoury layers with a tangy vinegar-ginger dip. The broth inside? Sweet-savoury perfection. **Jinling Signature Salted Duck** — looks simple but wow. Tender, smooth, and bursting with flavour. **Poached “Lion’s Head” Meatball** — soft like tofu, juicy like heaven. Melt-in-your-mouth kind of comfort food. Honestly, better rendition than the ones I had in TW. **Steamed Glutinous Rice with Pork** — pork belly + sticky rice steamed till the flavours fuse beautifully. Thought it’d be heavy but it’s actually mild, aromatic, and so satisfying. **Palace Chicken with Pickled Chilli** — dangerously addictive. Tender, spicy, flavour-packed — the kind you just keep reaching for. **Shrimp Roe with Tofu** — silky smooth, light yet umami. Mum’s pick, and she fully approved **Madam Chiang’s Beauty Porridge** — creamy soy-milk-style porridge with lily bulbs and yam. Subtle, nourishing, and super comforting. **Victory Rice Cake** & **Taro Seedling with Osmanthus** — the perfect sweet, delicate ending to a hearty meal. Not many places serve *authentic Nanjing cuisine* in SG — so this one’s definitely worth the trip. Bonus: *kid-friendly and wallet-friendly too!*

Had a lovely meal with friends at Nanjing Impression! The food was authentic and full of flavor — especially the Salted Duck, Fried Quail, and Jade Shaomai. Loved the Duo-Color Fermented Rice Wine too, so refreshing! Cozy atmosphere and great service. Will definitely come back to try more from their new menu!

The food are on a sweeter side. Nice atmosphere and good service. Here are a few of my must order: 1) Roast duck - the skin got a little crispy, not fatty at all, and when mix with the gravy it's very tasty 2) Roast duck steam Bun - very juicy and full of meat 3) Duck porridge - have the smell of lotus leave, not very salty and very fragrant Not recommended: 1) Salted duck - it's just salty and it's very fatty. 2) Pickled veggie with fish and frog - the flavour of the pickled veggie soup is very strong and heavy. Preferred the lighter flavour. Overall,it's worth coming to have a try.

In general the food here is good. I would strongly recommend the beauty porridge as though it looks simple, it's actually nice. The signature dishes are also good. - Bamboo shoots with Beancurd - One of the family's favourite and good appetizer to begin with. Similar to DTF 四喜 dish but nicer. - Madam Chiang's Nutritious Beauty Porridge - Looks bland and ordinary. However it is one of my favourite dishes that is new to the restaurant. Taste of 豆花 with a faint taste of cereal. Must try. - Nanjing Noodles in Light Soy Sauce Broth - Nice noodles with tasty soy sauce. However it depends on individual as it's a bit on the oily side and would prefer to have the option to be less oily. - Quail dish (can't rem the name) - The quail skin is crisp and meat tender. Comes with quail eggs and fried veg. - Jin Ling Roast Duck - It's the speciality and must try. Meat is tender, skin is crisp and sauce is good. Good to pair with rice. - Duck Crispy Roll - One of my favourite dish. Must try. Didn't get to eat much as everyone snatched first leaving me a small bite. - Drunken Crayfish - This dish is a must try for crayfish lovers. Heads rich with roe and meat soaked in nice Huatiao wine. - Hairy Crab - It's the time of the year of hairy crabs and can't miss having this. As for service, I have read comments that service in general is slow. However I see that the service is very good as waitresses are very attentive. I guess the poorer reviews are of the past and they have definitely improved.

Visited Nanjing Impressions with my husband and parents, and we absolutely loved it! The ambiance is warm and inviting. The signature Nanjing Salted Duck and Salted Duck Soup were standouts — flavorful, tender, and comforting. We also enjoyed the lion’s head meatball, crab with ginger sugar and wine sauce, kampong chicken with crispy sesame bun, roast duck dumplings, fried quail, and duo color fermented rice dessert — every dish was beautifully prepared and full of authentic Nanjing flavors. Excellent food, cozy atmosphere, and attentive service — definitely a must-visit for Chinese cuisine lovers in Singapore!
